About KinSnap

Balancing both an emotionally tight as well as physically distanced family across Europe and Australia, Kees & Antoine have found staying in touch with grandparents challenging.

The older generations often don’t feel comfortable using technology and are consequently excluded from the family content shared on social media. In addition, everyone has their own preferred social platform, which results in a family communication being scattered through a myriad of services.

Kees & Antoine were also dissatisfied with the way large social platforms handled user’s data and continuous privacy breaches. They believed this trust and data protection should be paramount to create a trusted space to share with loved ones. The new platform would have to be available on web and mobile with a strong focus on user’s privacy.

A focus on design, with a simple solution that appeals to all and allows for more meaningful interactions, regardless of technologic preferences.

Looking for an approach that resonates with older loved ones, Kees & Antoine remembered the family albums their parents used to show them during family gatherings, something that has been unfortunately forgotten for most of us since the era of digital pictures.
